Maria O. Pacheco, 90, of Hudson, died on Friday, June 12, at Marlboro Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband Manuel F. Costa and second husband Antonio Vidal.

Maria was born in Sao Miguel, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel Pacheco and Maria G. (Medeiros). She resided in Sao Miguel for many years before emigrating to Hudson in 1980. Maria took great pride in the care of her home and raising her family, especially later caring for her loving grandchildren; great grandchildren and her one great-great grandchild.

Maria had many interests and hobbies in her life but truly enjoyed sewing and knitting in her spare time. She enjoyed cooking and preparing many dishes to share with the family at special occasions and the holidays. She always looked forward to her yearly trips back to Sao Miguel to spend the summer months. Most of all she truly cherished being with her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Zeneria Araujo and her husband Eduardo of Hudson; four grandchildren, Grace Resendes and her husband Jose of Hudson, Oscar Araujo and his wife Sandra of Hudson, Ana Andrade of Hudson, Elizabeth Melo and her husband Helder of Portugal; her 13 loving great grandchildren and her adoring great-great grandchild.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 15th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-AHamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
