Maria Rosa Bairos, 83, of Hudson, MA, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Maria Rosa was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Sousa) Bairos. She emigrated to the United States in 1969 along with her family settling in Hudson, MA. She was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson.

Maria Rosa is survived by her siblings, Altina Moura and her husband Jose of Hudson, MA, Deamantina Braga and her husband Antonio of East Providence, RI, Jose Bairos and his wife Zenalia of Marlborough, MA, David Bairos and his wife Margarida of Hudson, MA and Idalina Andrade of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Antonio Bairos and Dinis Bairos. She also leaves her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and her wonderful friends at the Till Group Home in Westborough, MA. 

Maria Rosa was a light that was always brightest when she was surrounded by her family. She cherished the many trips she shared with her family including trips back to Santa Maria, vacations at Disney World and also trips to Canada to visit with relatives. She was also fortunate to spend memorable moments with her friends at the Till Group Home. The group took many trips together and she always looked forward to the next one. Maria’s family cherished caring for her and will miss her greatly. She will always be remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 8:00am to 9:30am on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in Saint Michael Parish Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson for Committal Services.
