Marie A. (Chagnon) Barry, 98, former long time resident of Marlboro, died on Monday, April 2nd at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Barry who died in 1984.
Marie was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late Wilrose and Albina (Gauvin) Chagnon. She worked as a waitress at the former Cole's Lunch Restaurant in Marlboro for many years but mostly enjoyed her time caring for her home. She resided in Hudson for a short time and was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson. Marie also enjoyed her time as a member of the Friends of the Hudson Senior Center.
She is survived by her nephew, Paul Underwood of Westboro; her three nieces, Virginia Fernandes of Hudson, Dorothy Gardner of Hudson and Susan Whitten of Easton. She is also survived by her many great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour on Tuesday, April 10th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by funeral service on Tuesday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Howard Street Cemetery, Northboro.
