Marie Therese Jacobs

Therese Jacobs 95 of Hudson MA, died on Sunday December 17^th 2023.  She passed peacefully at the Coleman House in Northborough with her daughters at her side.  She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Paul F. Jacobs in 2021.

Terry, as she was fondly known, was born in 1928 to Louis and Alma (LaFrance) DesRochers. She was a graduate of Hudson High School class of 1946.  Following high school, Terry went on to earn her RN Degree working at the VA in Boston.  She then moved closer to home to begin her 35 year career at Marlborough Hospital. She loved her job working as an ER nurse on the night shift. She loved to learn and continued her studies earning a Masters Degree in Social Work at Clark University. 

Terry met her husband Paul in high school in 1942.  They later married in 1956 and settled in Hudson on the Jacobs homestead, raising their two daughters.

Terry was a loving wife and mother. She was married to Paul Jacobs for 64 years until his death in 2021. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Jacobs Pacific and Paul of Marlborough and Paula Jacobs Baran and Dave of Hudson.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Jacob Pacific, Nathaniel Baran, James Baran, Julie Pacific Martin and husband Don and Jessica Stier and husband Matt. She also leaves one great granddaughter Violet Therese. Terry is predeceased by her husband Paul, brother Joseph DesRochers, cousin Marie Paine McCracken and Donald.  She also leaves behind five sisters-in-law, Diane DesRochers, Nancy Jacobs, Beverly Loureiro, Dory Jacobs and Bonnie Jacobs along with many nieces and nephews.

Terry loved camping with her family, vacationing at Hampton Beach, wintering in Venice Florida and travelling.  She and Paul had a very active social life and volunteered at church, Marlborough Hospital, the food pantry and the Society for the Blind in their later years. 

More than anything Terry loved her family and supported all their activities and endeavors.  She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her loved ones.

Calling hours for Terry will be held on Tuesday December 26, 2023, 5pm-7pm at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Funeral Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday December 27, 2023, at 10:30am Saint Michael Parish, 23 Manning Street, Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
