Marilyn I. (Langlois) Dougherty, 94 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Hearthstone in Marlborough after a period of declining health.
Marilyn, a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Irene (Lord) Langlois, was born in Marlborough, where she was raised and attended school. She married the love of her life John R. Dougherty in 1939 and they celebrated fifty-five years together until he passed away in 1994.
Marilyn was a dedicated homemaker. She devoted her life to her family and caring for them brought her great happiness. Sewing, knitting, and baking were a few of the many talents of Marilyn that will be forever missed by her loved ones. Marilyn also adored her beloved, nineteen-year-old, Siamese cat “Ming”.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Neal M. Dougherty and his wife Cheryl of Hudson; her grandchildren Meghan Kotarski, her husband James and their children, Sophie and Logan of Hudson, Matthew Dougherty, his wife Lainie and their children, Grayson and Charlotte of Hudson and Caitlin Geary, her husband Matthew and their son, Bennett of Hudson and many nieces and nephews, especially Donna Chan and Gilbert Boisvert. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her three siblings Eleanor Boisvert, Lorraine Girard and Robert Langlois. She also leaves behind William Dougherty, Patty Zecco and Hunter Zecco.
All services for Marilyn will be held privately. TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting with Marilyn’s arrangements.
