Marion F. (Bushey) Beland, 74, of Hudson, died on Monday, October 31st at Marlboro Hospital. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Ernest E. Beland Sr. of Hudson.
Marion was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Francis and Katherine (George) Bushey. She was a life long resident of Hudson and attended local schools. Marion worked as a cashier for Walmart of Hudson for many years and prior to that was an inspector for Accumet Corp. in Hudson and was also employed by the Hudson Lock Co. Marion was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Marlboro and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Ernest E. Beland Jr. of Hudson, Candis Beland of North Carolina, Kathryn Beland of Hudson and Cynthia Sosnicki of Clinton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Michele Steere in 2003. She is also survived by her two brothers, Frank Bushey of Hudson, FL, Richard Bushey of Hudson; her three sisters, Catherine Donnelly of Hudson, Donna Therrien of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Beland of Hudson; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 4th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion's daughter, Michele Steere, may be made to: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
