Marion Esther (Willcutt) Geldart, 89, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4 at Clinton Hospital. She was the wife of 49 years to the late Clifford M. Geldart who died in 1992.
She was raised in Boston, daughter of the late Charles A. and Minnie (Besaw) Willcutt. She was employed for many years by Bradley Container in Maynard and was an active member of St. Luke's Parish in Hudson for many years. Marion took an active role with her children, especially with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and in her later years she spent much of her time at the Hudson Senior Center. Marion enjoyed crafts of many kinds, particularly sewing, painting and ceramics, she was an avid reader and loved gardening and indoor plants.
She will be deeply missed by her family, sons Robert Geldart and his wife Brenda of Maynard, Douglas Geldart and his wife Cynthia of Berlin, Stephen Geldart and his wife Catherine of Lancaster; daughter Christine Bergquist and her husband George of Fairchild, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Carrie, Sarah, and Zachary Geldart and Derek and Nils Bergquist. She was predeceased by her brother Creighton Willcutt and grandson Scott.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, 5 Washington Street, Wood Square, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
