Marsha M. (Stankard) Duprez, 88, of Marlborough, MA, former longtime resident of Hudson, MA, passed away on September 8, 2024 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, MA.
Marsha was born and raised in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late Paul and Albertine (LeVasseur) Stankard. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham, MA. She resided in Framingham, MA for 20 plus years where she raised her family. She moved to the Brant Rock area of Marshfield, MA. She loved the area of Brant Rock, especially being close to the ocean. She spent 10 years in Plymouth, MA prior to settling in Hudson for 18 plus years. She has resided at Christopher Heights in Marlborough, MA the past 3 years. Marsha worked as a sales associate for many years, mostly with the Christmas Tree Shop store in Plymouth, MA until retiring.
Marsha is survived by her 3 sons, Terrence Duprez and Marlene of Ashland, MA, Michael Duprez and his partner Christina Lockwood of Shrewsbury, MA, Joel Duprez and his wife Debra of Hudson, MA; her daughter, Christine Young and her husband Stephen of New Hampshire; her brother, Rev. Fr. Albert Stankard of Boston, MA; her 2 sisters, Dorene Miele and her Husband Paul of Hudson, MA, Colleen Stankard of Hudson, MA and her 6 grandchildren, Christopher & Mackenzie Duprez, Daniel & Alanna Duprez, Henry & Jessamine Young. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Stankard and sister Deaton Cahill.
Marsha had many interests throughout her life which included board games with friends and family, watching her favorite Boston sports teams and she always enjoyed the ocean and beautiful beaches she visited. Family was always most special to her and she cherished the time she spent with them, especially later with all her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warm and loving spirit by all who loved and knew her.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 10:00 am in Saint Michael Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA. Family and friends may visit and pay their respects from 9:00 to 9:45 am prior to the mass at Saint Michael Church. Burial services will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA at a later date. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family.
