Marsha N. Massa, 62 of Hudson died Tuesday Feb. 24, 2009 after a brief illness and a long fight against Myotonic Dystrophy. She was the wife of Andrew L.. Massa Jr. for 39 years.
Born in Ridgewood, NJ she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth(Ockford) Nichols.
She attended Bethany College in West Virginia and moved in Boston to work for State Street Bank. She was the financial officer for Farrar Nichols Associates,crossword puzzle brokers in Stowe, VT. She and her family have resided in Hudson since 1972. She was a member of St. Michael's parish in Hudson and was active in parish school affairs when her daughter Amy was a student there.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Charles Massa of Naples, FL, a daughter, Amy Massa and her partner Simone Black of Norwich, England; a sister, Joyce Lewis of Stowe, Vt. and one grandaughter, Marianna Massa of Norwich, England. She was the sister of the late Bruce Nichols.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday March 2nd at 9:00 am in St. Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 1st from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc.,50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers donations in Marsha's name may be sent to St. Michael's School Fund, c/o St. Michaels's Parish, 20 High St., Hudson, MA 01749
