Mary S. (Santini) Black, 67, of Bolton, MA, formerly of Naples, FL and Marlborough, MA, died on Saturday, June 27th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, J. Howard Black Sr. of Bolton.
Mary was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Nicholas and Yolanda (Bilotti) Santini. She attended local schools in Philadelphia and was a 1965 graduate of Olney High School. She later received her Associate's Degree from Temple University in 1967. She was currently the Executive Director of the Frances Pew Hayes Family Foundation.
Mary had many interests in her life besides the foundation and all the wonderful charities it supported. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her close friends over good food and wine. In her earlier years, her passion was playing tennis whenever her schedule allowed. Most of all she cherished being with her family and especially with her four loving grandchildren. She will always be remembered and truly missed.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two sons, J. Howard Black Jr. and his wife Dawn of Amesbury, MA and Christopher George Black and his wife Jennifer of Berlin, MA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Noah Joseph Black, Allyson Tara Black, Jared David Black, Alexander George Black and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert and Joseph Santini.
A funeral service and celebration of Mary's life will be held on Thursday July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bolton. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
