Mary Ann (Willis) Bourgeois, 77, of Ashburnham, MA passed away on September 28, 2009 at Wachusett Manor in Gardner, MA after a long illness.
She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Russell Bourgeois (aka Russ Burgess) and two daughters; Dianne Bourgeois of Ashburnham, and Raine Phoenix and her husband Chale Phoenix of Marlboro.
Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Ruby (Anderson) Willis Pierozzi and her husband Vincent Pierozzi of Hudson. She was born in Crescent City, Florida on March 2, 1932 but lived most of her life in Hudson and Marlboro. She lived in Ashburnham for the past eight years.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Marlboro High School and the Katherine Gibbs School. She assisted her husband in his business by running his office when he traveled. She also worked at her daughter's former book store.
Mary Ann was devoted to her family and her home reflected love and warmth. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by her family, friends, and her little dog, Lily.
Mary Ann's favorite hobby was gardening, a skill she inherited from her mother. She enjoyed interior decorating, reading, boating, traveling and any activities involving the family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1st prior to the service in the funeral home. Internment in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson will be held at the convenience of the family.
