Mary J. (Paulino) Cardoza, 82, of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Nov. 4th at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham. She was the wife of Manuel A. Cardoza of Hudson, Manuel and Mary where to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 19th.
Mary was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine (Kehoe) Paulino and was a life long resident of Hudson. She was a graduate of Saint Michael's Academy, class of 1944 and later attended secretarial school in Boston. She was a former secretary for the Dept. of Public works in Hudson, later was employed as a teller by the former Hudson Co-Operative Bank and spent several years as a clerk at Marlboro Hospital. Mary was a member of Saint Michael's Parish and member of the former Christ the King Parish of Hudson. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter's and also spent 30 plus years as an organist for both Saint Michael's and Christ the King Parishes. She was also a member of the Assabet Valley Master Singers group for several years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her six children, Kathleen Ryan and her husband Jack of Hudson, Stephen Cardoza and his wife Berit of Huntington, Paula Anderson and her husband Michael of Hudson, Joanne Giancola and her husband Stephen of Marlboro, Jacqueline Johannes and her husband Bryan of Hudson and Daniel Cardoza and his wife Nelia of Hudson. She is also survived by her three sisters, Anne Paulino of Hudson, Ruth Mangini of Hudson, Josephine Chartier of Bridgewater; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Jack Paulino.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 7th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 6th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
