Mary Ann (Cannella) Casaceli

Mary Ann (Cannella) Casaceli, 92, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2021, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, with her loving family by her side. She is reunited with her beloved husband Frank M. Casaceli, who predeceased her in 2002.

Mary was born on April 8, 1929 and raised in Maynard, MA, one of 5 children of the late Cologera and Francesca (Buscemi) Cannella. She graduated from Maynard High School and later married the love of her life Frank M. Casaceli in 1951. Together they settled in his home town of Hudson, where they successfully owned and operated Casaceli Trucking Co. She worked long days caring for their home and raising three children, while also taking care of the administrative and billing work for their family business which began from their family home.

Mary was a lifelong devout Catholic and a longtime member of Christ the King Church and Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, where she was a longtime active member of the Sodality Club. Mary was also a member of the Hudson Senior Center as well as the Neighborhood “Happy Do-Little Club”, which met regularly for coffee and current events. Mary volunteered in Hudson as a Poll Worker, assisting with all of the elections. Mary’s family was alway paramount in her life and spending time together with them all brought her the greatest joys in life. Mary crocheted many blankets and other items. Many family members have received her beautiful work to cherish forever. She also enjoyed gifting them to the church.

Mary is survived by her three children, Linda L. Winin of Stow, Janet L. Perlot and her husband Dennis of Tolland, CT and Richard F. Casaceli and his wife Barbara of Hudson; her sister, Crucifina Pakus of Marlborough; 6 grandchildren, Jacob Casaceli, Nicole Perlot, Joshua Casaceli, Robert Perlot, Kirsten Winin and Leigh Casaceli and her husband Timothy Walsh; her sister-in-law, Rena Faria and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Frank M. Casaceli, she is also predeceased by her siblings, John Cannella, James Cannella and Rose McAleer and her son-in-law, Philip Winin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am on Saturday, June 5. 2021, at Saint Michael Parish, 21, Manning St. Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Forest Vale Cemetery for Committal Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Michael Parish, 20 High St., Hudson, MA 01749.
