Mary E. (Boyd) Cavaco

Mary Elizabeth (Boyd) Cavaco 69, of Pittsfield MA, and formerly of Hudson MA passed away peacefully at her home after a period of declining health.

Mary was born in Pittsfield, Ma, the daughter of the late Ellen E. and Raymond F. Boyd. She graduated from Pittsfield High School and from Hartford Hospital of Nursing and had a 40+ year career as an RN. After Mary married she moved to Hudson, MA and raised her family.

Mary loved to read, was an avid gardener, and birdwatcher. She loved Nature.  She was thrilled to become a grandmother in 2016. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, companion, sister-in-law, aunt and friend and will be forever missed by those that love her.

Mary leaves with a heavy heart her son, Bryan Francis Cavaco and daughter-in-law, Danielle Elizabeth, her grandson, Dylan Antonio of Hudson, MA, her beloved companion/partner Paul A. Tagliaferro of Pittsfield, MA, her beloved sister-in-law, Ann-Marie Trebendis of Westborough, MA, her brother-in-law, Frank M. Cavaco and Deborah L. Craig and her two children, Emma and John Craig, her sister-in law, Esther Daigneault.  Also, her niece, Kathy Cavaco Nicholl of Mt Pleasant, SC and 2 great nephews, Charles F. and Pierce M., also of Mt Pleasant, SC.

Mary was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Antonio D. Cavaco who passed away in 2011.

Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
