Mary (McNally) Donovan-75, of Hudson, MA, died Friday, December 29, 2006, at the South Western Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She has resided in Manchester Center, VT the past few years.
She is survived by her former husband of 43 years John "Doc" Donovan of Hudson.
She was born in Clinton, MA, daughter of the late Walter and Alma (Carbary) McNally.
She was a graduate of Hudson H.S. class of 1949 and graduated from the Wilfred Academy of Hairdressing of Worcester in 1951. She was a former employee of Garnet Hill, a home goods outlet, in Manchester Center, VT as a sales representative. She was a devoted volunteer at the Wilson House in Vermont where she leaves many loving and caring friends.
Besides her former husband she is survived by her children, Jim Donovan, Joanne Donovan and Jack Donovan and his wife Bonnie all of Hudson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Randy, Jimmy and Peter Donovan; John Ross and Christopher Schubarth; Matthew, Erin and Kelsey Donovan, all of Hudson. She was the mother of the late Kathi Donovan who died in 1980. She also leaves her longtime friend, Chuck Gaines of Vermont.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. (www.tighehamilton.com)
