Mary A. (Devane) Malloy, 79, of Hudson, died Saturday, May 15th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Malloy Sr. who died in 1988. Mary is survived by her son, Frederick Malloy Jr. and his wife Jackie and her two daughters, Kathy Sanchez and her husband Osvaldo and Teri Malloy, all of Hudson. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madelyn and Rocco Malloy; her sister, Margaret Whigham of Culver City, Calif. and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John and Mark Devane.
Mary was born and raised in Waltham, daughter of the late John and Delia (Monahan) Devane. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham and worked for many years as a clerk in Sudbury until retiring. Mary cherished the time she shared with her family and most of all will be remembered as a devoted grandmother who enjoyed all her grandchildren's activities, especially their sporting events which she never missed. Mary was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 19th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 18th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
