Mary A. (Rodgers) Sleeper, 81, a life long resident of Hudson, died on Wednesday, May 1st at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Sleeper who died in 1987.
Mary was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late James T. and Gladys (Benjamin) Rodgers. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially camping in Vermont during the summer months with her husband Ed and family. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pride in the raising of her children and caring for her home in Hudson. She was a former member of Christ King Parish and Saint Michael Parish in Hudson and was currently a member of the First Federated Church Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her children, Mary R. Colleton and her husband Stephen of Hudson, Anne Marie Mason of Westboro and Susan Sleeper-Bemis and her husband Lowell of Jessup,GA. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Rodgers and his wife Sue of Auburn; her six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert, James, William and John Rodgers.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
