Matthew Paul Brennan-26, of Stow, MA, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough due to injuries sustained while snowmobiling on Lake Boon in Stow, MA.
Matthew was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 8, 1980 and has resided in Stow, MA on Lake Boon the last 16 years.
Matthew was a graduate of Nashoba Regional H.S. class of 1999 in Bolton, MA. He worked as a self employed contractor and carpenter. He spent many years working for his friend and mentor John McQue. Matthew loved the lake and enjoyed all the outdoor activities it had to offer, both winter and summer. He was an avid snowmobiler, skater, knee boarder, water-skier and boater. As a young boy, Mathew loved playing hockey and soccer. Matthew had many friends in the Stow area and he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his father Robert Brennan and his father's long time friend Maureen Giancola and her children, Gina McIntyre and Randy Giancola, and nieces and nephews of Stow, MA; his mother Leslie O'Rourke and brother Todd Jonathan "T.J."Bertram of Pittsburgh, PA; and most notably, his friend and companion, Beth Tramontozzi.
He is also survived by his grandmother, Pauline M. Brennan of Watertown, MA, his grandparents, William and Joyce May and great grandmother, Bernice Wall, all of Pittsburgh, PA, his uncle, John Brennan and his wife Maureen of Needham, MA, his aunts, Kathleen Larson and her husband Keith of Attleboro, MA and Lori Creps and her husband Jake of Pittsburgh, PA and many first and second cousins and great aunts & uncles. He was the nephew of the late Terance Brennan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
