Hudson, MA
Matthew A. Colacchio, 32, of Hudson, MA passed away with his loving wife Meredith by his side at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on July 24, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Matthew leaves his wife Meredith R. (Purba) Colacchio of Hudson, MA; his parents, Richard and Robin (Addy) Colacchio of Hudson, MA and his brother, Christopher Colacchio of Hudson, MA. He is also survived by his father and mother in-law, Alian and Karen (Smith) Purba of Danvers, MA; his wife Meredith’s mother, Susan Garabedian and brother-in-law, Andrew Purba both of New Hampshire along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Matthew was born in Framingham, MA and raised in Hudson, MA. He attended local schools and was a 2008 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough, MA. He was currently employed by the City of Marlborough, Department Public Works, Street Division.
Mathew was mechanically talented and truly enjoyed going to work and operating different power equipment as part of his job. He also liked working on cars and other mechanical devices. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his dirt bike and motorcycle. He also loved D.I.Y. projects (Do It Yourself). Most of all he cherished spending time with his family and his pet dachshund Marley. He will greatly missed but never forgotten by all who loved and knew him.
A private burial and private celebration of Matthew’s life will be held by his family. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 is assisting the family with arrangements.
