Maureen Elaine Jameson

Maureen Elaine Jameson, 76, a lifelong resident of Stow, MA, passed away peacefully, on Monday, October 17, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Maureen was born in Milford, NH, on March 30, 1946; the only daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Walsh) Jameson. She was raised in Stow, MA and graduated high school from Hudson Catholic High School. She went on to matriculate to Northeastern University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and subsequently earned a Master’s Degree from Boston College where she studied public health and theology. Through the years Maureen kept her home in Stow, however remained professionally in Boston, commuting for over 35 years to the city, working for the Department of Public Health as a school nurse in the Boston Parochial Schools. Throughout her life she remained a devout Catholic and was an active member of St. Isador Church in Stow, St. Michael Parish in Hudson and Holy Family Parish in Concord, where she also sang in the church choir. Maureen also enjoyed going on religious and meditative retreats. She was an avid artist and reader and enjoyed taking various art classes. She also adored the ocean, and spent time on Cape Cod.

Maureen is survived by her brother, Kenneth Jameson and his wife Denise Coolidge of Yarmouthport, MA; her niece, Erin Jameson and her partner Mark Byron of Clinton, MA; her nephew Sean Jameson and his wife Melissa of Woodstock, CT and 5 great-nieces and nephews, Ryan, Cameron and Kennedy Yates and Brian and Daniel Jameson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother William Jameson.

A period of visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday, October 24, 2022, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11am at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME,  50 Central St., Hudson, MA. Burial will follow at Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson.
