Michelle Marie MacLaren, of Hudson, MA, 55, passed away at home in peace on Monday, January 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Michelle is survived by her mother Diana (Suddy) MacLaren of Hudson, MA., and predeceased by her father, Herbert “Buster” MacLaren.
She is also survived by the love of her life and soulmate, Daniel Kelley of Marlborough, MA, her two sisters, Amy Peterson of Berlin, MA, and Judy Congdon and her husband, Jeffrey Congdon, of Hudson, MA. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Amy’s husband, Timmy Peterson.
Additionally, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews, who she always treated like her own children; Ashley, Maxine, Richard, Katelyn, Benjamin, Lila, and Owen, and her great nieces and nephew Peyton, Jackson, and Brooklynn.
Ashley (Felice) Pierce, Michelle’s first beloved niece, was by her side every step of the journey toward reuniting her with her father in heaven.
Michelle was born on September 30, 1968 and a lifelong resident of Hudson, MA. She graduated from Learning Prep School in Newton, MA in 1988, where she met her soulmate.
While Michelle was born into this world with disabilities, she never allowed them to limit her. In fact, she taught us all so many lessons in her short time on this earth. She went through every minute of her life unselfishly, never wanting to be an inconvenience to anyone, even up to\ her last breath. Her words of wisdom would hit you to the core, mostly because she was right.
In Michelle’s earlier years, you would find her walking through town, miles upon miles, walking her treasured Scottish Terrier, Lochy. In the summer months you could find her lounging by the pool, bronzing her perfect complexion. She had an affinity for her skin care routine, but loved to put makeup on and feel like a princess. What she didn’t realize is that no amount of makeup could make her anymore beautiful. She was absolutely perfect just the way she was.
When her sisters would wake in the morning, they’d find Michelle already facing the day and exercising in front of the television to episodes of Getting Fit with Denise Austin. She would then switch stations and her eyes would be glued to her soap operas. All My Children was her absolute favorite.
Michelle knew absolutely every detail into the lives of Donny and Marie Osmond. She knew all of their songs and even their dance moves. Princess Diana of Wales was her runner up favorite.
Michelle’s love had no limits. Her family was her world. Her nieces and nephews made her heart overflow with joy and happiness every time she saw them. She never forgot a birthday, an anniversary, and at Christmas every single member of the family were showered with way too many gifts. She didn’t even forget one single pet. They got their favorite treats and toys as well.
While her love was limitless, no one could hold a candle to the amount of love she had for Danny. They were kismet; fated to be together. If she went anywhere, Danny was by her side. Even during her last breath, he held her hand with all the love in his heart, and with the devotion he’s shown her in their lifetime together. Anyone who met Michelle became a better person after. That’s just how much her personality affected you. She was simply magnetic and magnificent. Her smile was contagious, her childlike innocence made her ever so endearing, and the lens in how she saw this world is a trait we should all emulate.
Michelle was love and light. The world just lost a little more love and the world is a little darker.
