Nazare G. (Coelho) Pereira, 58, of Hudson, died on Friday, November 20th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jose Pereira of Hudson.
Nazare was born in Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio G. and Albertina (Goncalves) Coelho. She has resided in Hudson the past 53 years moving from Portugal at age 5 and was employed as a secretary at Saint Michael's School in Hudson for 11 years before retiring in 2000. She spent many years as a Corporator for the former Hudson Savings Bank, now Avidia Bank and was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. Nazare took great pride in her family and especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also cherished her grandchildren and looked forward to attending all their sporting events.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth McNulty and her husband Gregory, Catherine Murphy and her husband Kevin and her sister, Irene Coelho, all of Hudson. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Gavin, Faith and Joey and her many nieces and nephew. She was the sister of the late Elsie Nunes.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 25th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
