Norma J. Morreale

June 12, 1939 — March 13, 2025

Norma J. (Hederick) Morreale, 85, of Hudson, MA, died on Thursday, March 13, 2025 peacefully with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Richard J. Morreale (2014). She resided in Hudson since 1972.

Norma was born in Buffalo, West Virginia, daughter of the late Mac and Margaret (Hott) Hederick. She attended local schools and was a 1957 graduate of Buffalo High School. She was a member of the high school band and played trumpet. She then attended Gale Airline School. Before her retirement, Norma was employed by the Embassy Suites Hotel in Marlboro, MA. 

Norma is survived by her daughter Cheryl Leeber and her husband Carl Leeber of Clinton MA, her late daughter Brenda Morreale of Stow, MA (2013), her grandchildren Victoria Budge Remain and her husband Zac Remain of New York, Nicole Budge of Maine, Rebecca Chaves and the late Dylan Chaves (2024) of Sturbridge, Rose and Joseph Leeber of Clinton MA and predeceased by her granddaughter Hope Ann Budge (1988). She also has great-grandchildren Aubrey, Zac, Ethyn, Zoey, Bree, Natalie, and Elliot. Norma is survived by her brothers and sisters, Anna May King of West Virginia, Geroge and the late Lee Hedrick (2012) of West Virginia, Edward and the late Peggy Hedrick (2015) of Massachusetts, David and his wife Priscilla of Virginia, Carol and Marty Hedrick of Florida and Carolyn Hedrick of West Virginia. She is preceded in death by her brother Mac Hedrick Jr (1964) and her brother Danny (2000) and his late wife Kathy Hedrick (2023) of Missouri.

Norma had many hobbies and interests which included being outdoors, planting and gardening. She was an avid sports fan of the Celtics, New England Patriots, and the Red Sox. She would have made a great play-by-play commentator. She loved games shows, puzzles, and cards. Most of all she enjoyed being a mom and a grandmother to all of us, creating delicious Sunday meals for her family and making her famous spaghetti and meatballs.

She was a VERY hard worker and had amazing work ethics. She will be sorely missed.

Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Regional Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A funeral service and Celebration of Norma’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. Committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please donate a teddy bear in her name to an extended care facility of your choice.
