Norma C. (Forance) Rocha, 77, of Hudson, died Tuesday, Sept. 21st at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph T. Rocha of Hudson.
Norma was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late John and Grace (McGorty) Forance and was a lifelong resident of Hudson. She graduated from the former Saint Michael's Academy in Hudson, class of 1950 and was employed as a customer service representative by Liberty Mutual Ins. Co. in Natick for many years until retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Hudson Emblem Club and Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. Norma loved spending time with her family and especially all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Chiaravalloti and her husband Francis of Hudson, Curtis Hunter, formerly of Hudson and Maria Rocha of Clinton. She is also survived by her two sisters, Barbara Martin and Marylin Zina, both of Hudson; five grandchildren, Marie Fisher of Leominster, Michelle Chaves of Hudson, Jennifer Rocha of Clinton, Crystal Driscoll, Anne Hunter of Marlboro; five great grandchildren, Cassie Fisher, Michael, Emma and Lila Chaves, Lexi Maattala and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Paul, Franny and Bob Forance.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 27th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26thfrom 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
