Norman J. Coulombe, 76, of Hudson, formerly of Marlborough and Lewiston, ME, died unexpectedly Monday, August 14, 2006 at his home.
He is survived by his wife of twenty three years Dorothea A. (McCabe) Coulombe.
Born in Lewiston, ME he was the son of the late Willy J. and Laura (Bilodeau) Coulombe.
He attended High School in Lewiston, ME where he was a member of the hockey team and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a resident of Marlborough, MA for forty four years and has resided in Hudson, MA since 1990. He was a former employee of Honeywell as a maintenance supervisor and served various other companies in the same capacity until his retirement. He was a past Commander of American Legion Post 132 in Marlborough, a Lifetime Member of The Hudson Lodge of Elks, a former member of the Hudson AMVETS and VFW of Marlborough. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox as well as the Patriots, but most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sports.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter; Rayanne Hafford and her husband Nelson of Ashland, ME, his step-children; Steven Cutler of Port Hueneme, CA, David Cutler of Holden, MA, Cynthia Letendre and her husband Joseph of Spencer, MA, Mark Cutler and his wife Laurie of Hudson, MA, his sister; Jeannette Denoncourt of Marlborough, MA, his brothers; Robert Coulombe of Marlborough, MA, Paul Coulombe of West Wareham, MA, ten grandchildren; Kelli Sturgeon, Nelson Hafford, Nathan, Jamie, Amber, Corey, Brendan and Kyle Cutler, Ryan and Ethan Morgan, three great grandchildren; Aaron Stephens, Laura Sturgeon, Chelsea Cutler and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lewiston, ME.
