Norman E. Johnson Jr., 88, of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Aug. 27th at Marlboro Hills Healthcare Center. He was the husband of the late Margie Johnson.
Norman was born and raised in Boston, son of the late Norman E. Johnson Sr. and Bertha (Johnston). He has been a longtime resident of Hudson and was employed by Boyd Coating Co. in Hudson for 20 plus years until his retirement. Norman enjoyed music and dancing in his spare time and also looked forward to attending bingo games whenever he had the opportunity. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Linda Bennett and her husband Richard of Hudson, Evelyn Blaisdale and her husband Fred of New Hampshire, John Johnson and his wife Donna of Hudson, Norman N. Johnson of Hudson, Betty Allen of Winchendon and Robert Johnson and his wife Nancy of Warren. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, Sept. 1st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A funeral service and celebration of Norman's life will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson at a later date.
