LEOMINSTER- Normand G. Marcheterre, Jr. (60) of Leominster, died peacefully at UMass Memorial on October 22, 2016, surrounded by family and friends, after fighting a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Virginia (Frey) Marcheterre.
Normand was born and raised in Hudson, was an honorably discharged Marine after six years of service, and worked as a machine operator at Mass Com of Leominster.
He is also survived by his daughter Nicole and son-in-law Greg Bartholomy, daughter Jessica Marcheterre, daughter Rachel Marcheterre, stepson Thomas Dvorznak, and late stepdaughter Heather Dvorznak. He also leaves 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Additionally, Normand is survived by his mother Judith (Bruen) Marcheterre, sister Gloria, brother-in-law Jack Barry, brother Albert, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Patricia (Ruby), brother William, brother Edmund, brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-law Linda, brother-in-law Robert and wife Jeanette Frey, and brother-in-law Russell Frey. He was predeceased by his father Normand Sr. and two brothers, Donald Sr. and Wayne.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 11:00a.m.-2:45pm. A service will be held at 3pm at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. A celebration of Normand's life will follow the service at the Riverside Gun Club where he devotedly served as President and Trout Pond Chairman.
