Patricia V. Alving, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Marlborough Hospital. She is reunited with her beloved of over 50 years, Ronald H. Alving.
Patricia was born on February 1, 1940, in Concord, MA to the late John P. and Anna (Grant) Vaughan. Following graduation she married the love of her life, Ronald and soon after they moved to Stow, where they began their family.
She leaves behind her son, Scott Alving and his husband, Carlos Peneda of Stow; her stepson, David Nawrocki of Cape Cod; her grandchildren, Derek J. Alving-Peneda and Phoenix J. Alving-Peneda: close cousin, Timothy Grant from Puerto Rico: as well as her sister-in-law, Ruth Alving of Stow; her nephews, Jonathan, Peter and Todd Alving and their children. She is predeceased by her son, Derek Vaughan Alving and her husband, Ronald H. Alving.
Patricia took pride in working side by side with her husband, who owned Yours & Mine Restaurant in Hudson for 25 years. She vacationed in Maine, made some very close friends and they all became snowbirds in Florida. She was well respected and loved by many. She was fond of getting together with family and friends every Saturday night for dinner and was also an active member of the knitting group.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following graveside burial at Forest Vale Cemetery, Hudson. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held after at the Elks Lodge in Hudson, MA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to andrewshelpfulhands.com.
