Patricia (Chaplick) Staniunas, 89 of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at home with her family and close friends by her side, after a period of declining health. She joins her husband of 47 years, Stanley J. Staniunas, who predeceased her in 2007.
Patricia was born and raised in Worcester, MA the daughter of the late Julius and Patricia (Savage) Chaplick. She graduated from North High school and continued her education to become a paralegal; working for many years for the Honorable Judge August Bonazolli in Hudson until her retirement. Patricia married Stanley Staniunas on May 7, 1960 and together they settled in Hudson immediately afterwards.
Patricia had an appreciation for the simple things in life, she enjoyed her crossword puzzles and watching episodes of Seinfeld. She was a great cook and baker, who was especially noted for her delicious spaghetti sauce. She enjoyed going out to eat around town and was a regular patron of Applebee's and Checkboards restaurants in Hudson.
Patricia leaves behind her two daughters, Jane Marrama of Hudson and Christine Fellrath and her husband Dr. Richard Fellrath of Asheville, N.C. In addition to her husband and parents she was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Bill Marrama and her brother, Robert Chaplick. Patricia also leaves behind many great friends with special heartfelt recognition to Peter Hyland, Nan Peckham, John Crossman, and Dorothy Clark.
A period of visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749. She will be interred privately with her husband at St. Michael's Cemetery in Hudson at a later time.
