Pauline Catherine (Hay) Sullivan, 82, a resident of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, on Thursday, May 27th, 2021.
Pauline was born in Watertown, MA, on June 22, 1938, one of 4 children of the late Walter and Cecelia Hay. She was raised in Watertown and graduated from Matignon High School as a member of the class of 1956. After graduating she began working at Barry Wright in Watertown where she met her eventual husband, Daniel Sullivan. They married on November 11th, 1961 and together, they had 5 children. They raised their family as residents of Hudson for the last 57 years.
Pauline was an avid runner and could be seen enjoying a run around Gates Pond or the Delaney Watershed for many years accompanied by her beloved dogs. Pauline’s primary activity was spending time with her family, 13 grandchildren and many friends in town. For over 20 years, she enjoyed summers on Martha’s Vineyard where she hosted friends and family to share her annually ensuring every spent time together each year.
Pauline is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Dan Sullivan and their 5 children; Maura and her husband Jim of Mansfield; Danny and his wife Lynn of Hopkinton; the late Kenneth Sullivan; daughter-in-law Deborah of Hudson; sons, Christopher and his wife Denise of East Falmouth, David and his wife Lisa of Danvers. Her survivors also include her 13 beloved grandchildren, and brother Jim Hay and his wife Eloise of Dennis, Ma.
Waking hours will be held Tuesday, June 1st. from 4-7 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, June 2 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church, Manning St., Hudson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Forest Vale Cemetery on Broad St. in Hudson for Committal Services. TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME is honored to be entrusted with the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 6060 (ww.alz.org).
