Pedro M. Janeiro, 40 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018, surrounded by his beloved family after a period of declining health.
Pedro was born on October 31, 1977 in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, the son of Maria Fatima (Rego) Janeiro and the late Jose Luis Janeiro. Pedro immigrated to Hudson with his family in 1987, where he graduated from High School and resided until he passed. Pedro was a longtime member of Saint Michael Church in Hudson. He worked for Anver Corporation in Hudson for many years as an assembler of small components.
Pedro was a caring and upbeat person whose face was always lit with his infectious smile which was a beacon of kindness to those around him. Pedro was a loving son, brother, godfather, uncle and friend whom always put others first. He was an avid soccer fan and a diehard Sporting Clube de Portugal fan, Pedro also enjoyed running and participated in numerous 5K races. He loved to travel to many places such as Dominican Republic, Cancun, Brazil and, most recently, immensely enjoyed traveling to Florida with his sister and mother.
Pedro is survived by his mother Maria Fatima (Rego) Janeiro of Hudson, his siblings Luis M. Janeiro and his wife Rita of Hudson, Jose C. Janeiro and his wife Renata of Hudson and Carla J. Wright and her husband Shawn of Hudson; his nieces and nephews, Paul Janeiro, Jennifer Janeiro, Ryan Janeiro, Josh Janeiro, Nicole Janeiro, Jason Janeiro, Mackenzie Wright and Colin Wright and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Jose Luis Janeiro and his brother, Paulo J. Janeiro.
Calling hours will be from 4 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Saint Michel Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by interment in Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson.
