Philip F. Davis Sr., 70, a life long resident of Hudson, died Friday, Aug. 20th at his son Philip's residence in Hudson surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife and dear friend Susan (Costidio) Davis of Hudson.
Born in Framingham, son of the late George and Alice (Clark) Davis, he was a 1958 graduate of Hudson High School. He was employed as a truck driver for the Mass Container Corp. in Marlborough for 30 plus years and also J. Melone & Sons of Maynard. He most recently was employed as a school bus driver for the First Student Transportation Co. and prior to that by the former Assabet Transportation Co., transporting students attending Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.
Philip is survived by his three sons, Philip Davis Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Hudson, Joseph Davis of Maine and George Davis and his wife Rebecca of Clinton. He is also survived by his two brothers, Paul Davis of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Jerry Davis of Hudson; his two sisters, Jean Peltier of Hudson, Joan O'Brien of Westboro; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson "Lil" Joe.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 23rd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
