Phoebe (Medeiros) Porrazzo, 91, of Hudson, died on Monday, Oct. 29th at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Porrazzo for 59 years before his death in 2004.
Phoebe was born in Bristol, RI, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Ferreira) Medeiros. She was raised in Hudson attending local schools and resided in Hudson most of her life. She was employed as a secretary by the Raytheon, Co. in Sudbury and Wayland for 30 years until retiring in 1982. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Phoebe loved spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She always looked forward to spending the winter months with her husband in the Villages, Florida.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Houde and her husband David of Hudson; her sister, Dorothy Peterson of Berlin; her two grandchildren, Ryan and Timothy Houde, both of Hudson; her great grandson Logan and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Josie, Manuel and Robert Medeiros, Annie Faria, Concetta Campos, Mamie Grasso, Irene Whitney and Evelyn DeRuvo.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour on Friday, Nov. 2rd from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a service and celebration of Phoebe's life on Friday, Nov. 2rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
