Phyllis A. (Maude) Howe, 80 of Hudson died on Sunday, April 26th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 60 plus years to the late Edwin F. Howe Sr. who died in 2014.
Phyllis was born and raised in Natick, daughter of the late Milton and Rose (Fairbanks) Maude. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Natick High School. She took great pride in raising her family along with her husband Edwin in Hudson and was a member of the Hudson Senior Center.
Phyllis enjoyed gardening and crocheting in her spare time. She enjoyed caring for their home in Hudson and always looked forward to spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren, including her great granddaughter Lilith Rush. She will always be remembered and truly missed by all.
She is survived by her son, Robert A. Howe and his wife Patricia of Fitchburg and was predeceased by her son, Edwin F. Howe Jr. in 1999. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Edwin F. Howe III, Michael Howe, Alicia Howe, Theodore Howe; several great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur and Kenneth Maude.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour on Wednesday, April 29th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a celebration of Phyllis' life on Wednesday, April 29th at 1:00 p.m. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to: American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
