Hudson, MA
Phyllis M. (Videto) Walsh, 89, a life long resident of Hudson, died on Thursday, Sept. 1st at Marlboro Hills Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late James B. Walsh who died in 1990.
Born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late George H. and Mary J. (Veinot) Videto, Phyllis attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. She later attended the Catherine Gibbs Business School in Boston. Besides caring for her family, she was active in the Hudson Parents Teachers Association and Hudson Girls Scouts when her daughter Patricia was attending school. She was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson and member of the Ladies Sodality with the church. She enjoyed decorating, gardening and spent her spare time reading about current events.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Walsh of Hudson, many dear friends from her community and was predeceased by her brother, Lt. Richard H. Videto who was killed in action during WWII.
A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3rd at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3rd in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
