Primo J. Borella Jr., 78, of Hudson, died on Thursday, Feb. 9th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol A. (Simoes) Borella of Hudson.
Primo was born and raised in Marlboro, son of the late Primo J. and Thelma (Maurice) Borella. He attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Marlboro High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. Primo and his wife Carol have resided in Hudson the past 50 plus years and was employed as a mechanic by the Continental/Hostess Baking Company in Natick for 33 years until his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, Carl Borella and his wife Heidi of Hudson and Karen Carraher and her husband Michael of Marlboro. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Borella of Vermont; his seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Borella.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 13th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
