Raine Phoenix (formerly Debra Bourgeois), 59, of Marlboro Mass. passed away on October 15 at the Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born on June 24, 1957 in Marlboro, the daughter of Russell Bourgeois (a.k.a. Russ Burgess) and the late Mary Ann (Willis) Bourgeois of Ashburnham, Mass.
Raine is survived by her husband of 23 years Chale Phoenix of Marlboro, her father Russell, and her sister Dianne Bourgeois of Ashburnham.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Ann, her paternal grandparents Gaston and Blanche Bourgeois of Marlboro, and her maternal grandparents Ruby and Vinny Pierozzi of Hudson, Mass.
Raine graduated from Marlboro High School in 1975 and enjoyed taking a variety of classes throughout her life. She was an avid reader. She loved cats, especially her own two cats Pooky and Cheyenne who predeceased her. Raine contributed to maintaining a cage at a local cat shelter for many years.
In the 1990s, Raine became a Reiki Master and offered her services at her sister Dianne's former new age shoppe, Featherstones which was located in Marlboro. She was also an expert on the healing properties of crystals and gemstones and taught classes on the subject. Raine's help in assisting her sister in running the shoppe was invaluable and the sisters shared many happy memories from that time.
Raine enjoyed discovering her artistic side and became a gifted artist who excelled in a number of mediums including decorative art, painting, jewelry-making, and multi-media. She was active with many online artist circles up until her passing.

Calling hours will be held at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home located at 50 Central Street in Hudson, Mass. on Friday, October 21 from 4 - 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
A private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
