Ralph A. Rotolante, 83, of Hudson, MA, former resident of Acton, MA, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Emma Jeanne (Bombach) Rotolante who died in 2021.
Ralph was born in Denver, CO, son of the late Ralph and Regina (Billings) Rotolante. He was raised in El Paso, TX attending local schools. He was a graduate of the University of Texas, El Paso. Ralph also earned his Doctorate (PHD) in Physics at Vanderbilt in Tennessee. Ralph and Jeanne resided in Acton for 30 years prior to Hudson where he has spent the last 3 years. He was the Founder and President of New England Research Center in Sudbury, MA; Founder and President of Vicon Infrared of Hudson, MA and also was the Founder of Acton Liquors in Acton, MA and Wine-Cask Imports in Hudson, MA. He was a current member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, MA.
Ralph is survived by his children, Regina Rotolante, Anthony Rotolante and Teresa White (married to Joel White); his granddaughter Nicole Foster (married to Jordan Foster) and his two great grandchildren Evie and June Foster. He was predeceased by his sister Rita Ringshall.
Ralph enjoyed a life of hard work and developing multiple patents throughout his long career. When he was younger he spent 14 months in Antarctica performing scientific research and was honored with the naming of Mount Rotolante in Antarctica in 1962. When he returned to the states he married his high school sweetheart Emma. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA. He enjoyed traveling visiting many destinations including Europe, Asia and the Americas. Ralph was truly most happy when spending time with family, socializing with friends and sharing laughter with everyone he could. He will be greatly missed but cherished by all who loved and knew him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ralph's life with a funeral memorial mass to be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 am in Saint Michael Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA . Burial services will be private held at the convenience of the family. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
