Ralph G. Fillmore, 86, of Hudson, died on Monday, May 25th at Marlboro Hospital. He leaves his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Eleanor (Greeley) Fillmore of Hudson.
Born in Hudson, son of the late Millard and Gladys G. (Gerry) Fillmore, he was a 1940 graduate of Hudson H.S. and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He owned and operated Fillmore Ice Cream & Dairy of Hudson for many years with his brother Robert. An avid golfer, he was a life member of Marlboro Country Club and also enjoyed playing tennis. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson where he also participated in it's bowling league; life member of the Hudson Elks and member of the Hudson Historical Society.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four children, Ward G. Fillmore of Hudson, Debi Fillmore of Marlboro, Brad J. Fillmore and his wife Themia of Hudson and Eleanor Grasso and her husband John Jr. of Hudson. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Courtemanche and her husband Donald of Uxbridge and three grandchildren, Amanda and Madelyn Grasso and Savanna Fillmore. He was the brother of the late Robert Gerry Fillmore.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30th at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 34 Felton Street, Hudson. Burial will take place in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 29th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ralph may be made to: First United Methodist Church, 34 Felton Street, Hudson, MA o1749.
