A great man, Ralph Souza; died Sunday, December 22, 2013 in his home in Clinton, MA. He is survived by his dear mother Mary (Sally) Quintino Souza of New Bedford, MA; two brothers; Edward J. Souza (James) and wife Patricia of New Bedford, MA; Carl Souza and wife Sharon of Fairhaven, MA; three nephews Christopher Souza, Gregory Souza (Malorie) and Daniel Souza; two nieces Karyn Souza and Kristine Buss (Scott).
Ralph and Jeanne Souza had three children during their 30 years of marriage; Kathleen A. Zigler, Deborah Jeanne Cox, and Andrew Edward Souza. Andrew Souza sadly passed away on October 12, 2013. Kathleen is married to Bill Zigler and has two beautiful daughters; Samantha S. Hill and Katye L. Phillips. Deborah is married to Brian Cox and they have three lovely children; Isabelle, Julia and Madison. The family lived in many places; the New England area, Florida, Texas, California, and Montreal, Canada.
Ralph's marriage to Anastasia Souza an amazing young lady; Jacqueline Mary Souza.
Ralph was an accomplished musician, playing both clarinet and the saxophone in various bands as a young man. He loved all kinds of music, from Tony Bennett, Elton John, Lady Gaga, and even tolerated Justin Bieber and One Direction over the last few years.
Ralph was active in sports participating in track, CYO basketball and baseball when in High School. As an adult he loved golf and tennis, especially the Wednesday night tennis games with his best friends.
After graduating from Bentley College, Ralph spent most of his life pursuing his career and ensuring his family was well supported. He worked for various companies, including ITT, Gulf and Westin and finaly retiring from Draka USA, as Chief Financial Officer.
Ralph's dear life friends are Jay Dropkin (whom sadly passed away some years ago), Garo Artinian, Shirley O'Neall and Ralph Caputo. He spent many years sharing joy, laughter, support and lots of spirited pranks.
He traveled much, laughed more and loved best of all. Ralph, you will always be alive and loved in all our hearts...
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 28th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bolton. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, Dec. 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
