Raymond J. Saragian Sr., 83, a longtime resident of Hudson, died on Monday, Feb. 17th at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Adelaide "Squeezle" (White) Saragian of Hudson.
Raymond was born and raised in Grafton, son of the late Mersop and Evelyn (Merchant) Saragian. He was a former truck driver and most recently was employed by the Bose Company in Framingham as a supervisor until his retirement. He was a member of the Hudson V.F.W. and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Raymond and his wife Squeezle enjoyed Country & Western Dancing throughout most of their years together and most recently he found attending Karaoke events entertaining. He truly cherished the times he spent with his family, especially the wonderful times he shared with his grandchildren and great grandson. He had a great sense of humor and never turned down an invitation to a good party. He was an avid sports fan and looked forward to watching all the seasonal games. He will be truly missed by all.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Brenda Sue Ocasio of Clinton; his son, Raymond J. Saragian Jr. and his wife Nika of Randolph and was predeceased by his loving son, Steven M. Saragian in 1985. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine Masciareli of Maryland; his brother, Robert Saragian of Marlboro; his five grandchildren, Tina Marie Murphy of Shirley, Thomas E.J. Murphy of Worcester, Crystal Murphy of Alabama, Steven M. Saragian II of Randolph, Raymond J. Saragian III of Randolph; his great grandson Angel "AJ" Torres of Shirley and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harold Saragian, Betty Morrill and Anne Charbonneau.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, Feb. 21st from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
