Reginald L. Latimer, 82, of Ashby, formally of Hudson, MA, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of 51 years to the late Catherine (Palmieri) Latimer who died in 2003.
He was born in Boston, MA and was a former employee of the Raytheon Corp. in Wayland for 25 years as an assembler. He worked for the former Lapointes Machine Shop in Hudson prior to Raytheon Corp.
He enjoyed small engine repair as a hobby and was well known for this as he served many local Hudson residents repairing lawnmowers and other related machines. He was an avid N.E. Patriots fan and season ticket holder for many years. He was a former member of the Hudson Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Fiola and her husband Paul of Ashby and Jeffrey Latimer and his wife Catherine of Tehachapi, CA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com.) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service.
