Rhoda B. (Phinnemore) Holm

Rhoda B. (Phinnemore) Holm, 92 of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at The Highlands in Fitchburg, surrounded by her loving family. Rhoda joins her beloved husband, Allen Holm, who predeceased her in 1982.

Rhoda was born and raised in Ontario, Canada on January 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Cecil and Agnes (Brown) Phinnemore. After finishing school Rhoda worked numerous jobs on the farm, gas station and restaurant. During WWII she chipped in being a welder at the factory. She eventually married the love of her life Allen Holm and together they settled in Hudson, where she resided for the past 52 years.

After Allen passed in 1982 Rhoda worked at the Concord Auto Auction/ Adesa and a few housekeeping jobs to keep food on the table for her two boys. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she adored. Her mischievous personality and cheeky sense of humor kept those around her constantly laughing. Rhoda was also an avid sports fan and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing cards, dancing and generally just trying to make everyone around her have a good time. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society.

Among her many survivors, Rhoda leaves her three sons, Ian Keefer and his wife Lorraine of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Ronald A. Holm of Clinton and Erik H. Holm and his love of his life Patti Waters of Hudson; three grandchildren, Tracy Butler and her husband Mark, Mark Keefer and Shane Keefer; seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Butler, Kyle Butler, Randy Keefer, Samantha Keefer, Emily Keefer, Rachel Keefer and Nicole Keefer; a great-great-grandchild, Kaiden Butler, as well as a number of loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Rhoda was also predeceased by her two sisters, Vivian and Miriam “Babe”.

Calling hours will be held from 12 pm until 2 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA; immediately followed by a funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home. Rhoda will be interred privately beside her husband, Allen Holm at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, MA at a later time.
