Richard G. Beauregard-76, formally of Hudson, MA died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley A. (Coccione) Beauregard of Hudson, FL.
He was born in Hudson, MA, son of the late Carl and Florence (Crowley) Beauregard.
He was a graduate of Hudson H.S. class of 1949 where he was an outstanding goaltender for the hockey team and was honored as an Eastern Mass allstar goaltender. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy. He later attended the Mass School of Barbering and owned and operated Dick's Barber Shop of Hudson, MA for many years. He served on the Hudson Board of Selectman for 27 years and also served on the Hudson Board of Health. He was a member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks and was an avid poker player.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Richard Beauregard of Norwalk, CT, Robert Beauregard of Montecello, NY, Linda Colaluca and Holly Mathews, both of Hudson, MA. He is also survived by his brother, Francis Beauregard of Wells, ME, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Donald, Robert and Carl Beauregard
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, June 15, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial with military honors will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
