Richard A Berry Sr., 80, of Hudson, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at his residence in Hudson. He was the husband of fifty two years to Martha (Drew) Berry. Born in Marlboro, MA son of the late James and Irene (Bernard) Berry. He was employed by the Sealtest Company of Framingham as a machine operator until his retirement. He also was employed as a chair operator part-time for Marlboro-Hudson Ambulance Service. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Navy and was a member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.
Besides his wife he is survived by his three sons; Richard Berry Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Gardner, Michael Berry of Hudson, Brian Berry of Hudson, and his daughter Susan Pierce and her husband Peter of Oxford. He is also survived by his grandchildren Richard Berry III and Sarah Berry. He was the brother of the late Donald Berry and Dureen Meyers.
His funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc, 50 Central St. (www.tighehamilton.com) Hudson, MA 01749 with a funeral mass at 9:00am Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson MA. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home, the Hudson Lodge of Elks will conduct their ritual at 7:00 p.m. during calling hours in the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson.
