Richard Gorman, 63, of Hudson, formerly of Marlboro, died on Sunday, June 26th surrounded by his loving family at his home in Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna M. (Barone) Gorman of Hudson.
Richard was born in Hudson, son of the late Robert and Mary (Hinckley) Gorman. He was raised in Marlboro where he attended local schools and was a 1972 graduate of Marlboro High School. He was presently employed with the Harvard Vanguard Co. of Concord spending 25 plus years at its Kenmore Square, Boston location and the past 2 years in Concord. He was a member of the Marlboro Dukes Drum and Bugle Corps from 1966 to 1970 and presently a member of the Connect Community Church in Ashland.
Richard had many interests throughout his life including camping, and carpentry but always looked forward to attending Bruins games with his daughters. Most recently he and his wife Donna purchased an old farmhouse in Northumberland, NH and have spent the past 2 years restoring the farmhouse. Richard always cherished his family, especially all the special gatherings throughout the year. His true passion was caring for his wife, daughters and recently his new born granddaughter. The memories he leaves behind will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Giovanna Gorman of Westboro, Katie Gorman of Hudson and Jodi Gorman of Hudson; his adoring granddaughter, Arianna Grace Russell of Westboro; his three brothers, Robert Gorman and his wife Patty of Southboro, John Gorman of Sudbury, Arthur Gorman and his wife Linda of Marlboro; his four sisters, Nancy Bizzotto and her husband John of Fitchburg, Grace Wilson and her husband Eric of Hudson, Mary Coles and her husband Paul of Marlboro, Ruth Devoe of Westboro along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, June 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com).
