Richard N. Hanson Jr., 53, of Sterling, passed away at home on Monday, Aug. 22nd.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda J. Hanson and Nicole E. Hanson, both of Leominster. His three sisters, Karen Perillo and her husband David, Kathi Walker and her husband Barrett, Kelly King and her husband Robert as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Richard N. Hanson Sr. and Jean (Antila) Hanson and a sister Kimberly Hanson.
Raised in Hudson, MA he was a 1981 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional High School. He later moved to Lancaster and then Sterling where he resided for 20 years. He worked as an auto mechanic in Marlboro for many years before opening his own auto repair shop, Quality Automotive in Marlboro, in 1997 where he worked until 2015. He loved muscle cars, motorcycles and the New England Patriots.
A funeral service and celebration of Richard's life will be held on Friday, Sept. 2nd at 12:00 noon in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Family and friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
