Richard H. Hubert

Richard H. Hubert, 71, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Hudson, MA, passed away unexepectedly on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at his home in Florida.

Richard was born on August 18, 1947, in Framingham, MA, the only child of the late Henry L. and Emma E. (Dailey) Hubert. Richard spent most of his life in Hudson, Ma, where he was raised, graduated from school and had a successful career as a Hudson Firefighter. He moved to The Villages in Florida in 2003, following his retirement from service. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving during the Vietnam Era.

Richard was a popular and well like member of the Hudson Community. He was a longtime member of the Hudson Elks, Hudson Firefighters IAFF local 1713 and the Hudson Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing and golfing.

Richard is survived by his three children, Nancy E. Hubert, Richard D. Hubert and his wife Susan and Anne-Marie Hubert and Timothy Durkin all of Hudson and two grandchildren, Patrick O. Kerrigan and Kenneth J. Durkin.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the funeral; followed by interment in Forestvale cemetery in Hudson.
