Richard M. "Red" Reske, 75, of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Aug. 10th at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlboro. He leaves his wife of 30 plus years, Helen F. (Reilly) Reske of Hudson.
Red was born and raised in Newton, son of the late Albert and Rose (Bozek) Reske .He has been a resident of Hudson since the age of 16 and worked as a truck operator for many years for Holmes Transportation in Framingham. He later was employed as a school bus driver for Ryder Transportation, where he transported students in Marlboro for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Hudson Eagle's, Moose Lodge of Marlboro and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ann Kittredge and her husband Kevin of Hudson, Richard Reske and his wife Mary Beth of Florida, Cheryl Boucher and her husband John of Leverett, Maryann Coloumbe and her husband Darrin of Virginia and Robert Reske and his long time companion, Lisa Galeski of Hudson. He is also survived by his five step-children, Billy Sullivan of Hudson, Mary Trudeau and her husband Mark of Leominster, John Sullivan and his wife Kathy of Marlboro, Michael Sullivan of Hudson, Coleen Ferris and her husband Michael of Boxborough; his 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Reske who died in 1977.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Aug. 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
