Richard Rouse, 70, of Hudson, died on Tuesday, Dec. 1st at Marlboro Hospital. He leaves his wife of 26 years, Lee (Orenberg) Rouse of Hudson.
Richard was born in Hudson, son of the late Howard C. and Ethel M. (Sanville) Rouse and was a long time resident of Hudson. He was a 1957 graduate of Hudson High School and later attended Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, NH. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Keene State College in Keene, NH and his Master's Degree from Worcester State College in Worcester. He was a school teacher for 33 years in Hudson and was at the Forest Avenue School in Hudson prior to retiring. He was a member of the Hudson Lodge of Elk's.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Stephen Rouse and his wife Kathleen of Providence, RI; his daughter in law, Amy Rouse of Brownville, ME, wife of his late son Dean Rouse who died in July of 2009; his two brothers, Harold Rouse and his wife Betty of Hudson and Howard Rouse of Framingham. He is also survived by his grandson, Wesley Rouse of Brownville, ME and his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 4th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
